Gaining

Another reason to get fat..

Once you're fat you don't have to worry about getting fat. It'll be a fait accompli.

Has anyone ever used this rationale to ease their doubts about gaining?

Yes, my wife after gaining during her pregnancies and not losing weight afterwards.

That was me kinda when I crossed the threshold of 300lbs after failing diet after diet I couldn’t exercise like I used to

Like I was fat and I didn’t realistically have an objection to it so I just learned to accept and love my body as it was

Now I’m fat fat, fat people can be like damn your fat

My wife is the same way. Gained about a hundred pounds after her first two many years ago. She gained only about 10-15 pounds for first child together four years ago, but by then she was already 300 pounds :-)

It definitely is helping lately with the social side of things. I feel like I've crossed a line where my growth overall, especially my belly, is super obvious to everyone I know, and maybe has been for a little while. Like, I'm the fattest person in some rooms. But having that realization already happen.. well, what's some more weight on top of that? smiley

Sounds like it might be a good way for me to mentally change my approach to gaining. I can just get fat and not worry about it anymore because it's already done lol. Might have to try it. Maybe a no holding back 30 Day Challenge could be a good way to start?

Same!! At 570, a person half my weight is 285, which means they're already quite obese (unless they're a completely ripped extreme body builder maybe). I think around 400, I crossed over into being "fat to most fat people".

Not intentionally but I feel like I'm doomed to become obese again and know too well how diets don't work. It's more like a "I'm fat now, so it doesn't matter anymore" mentally when it comes to my food selections lately. Since gaining so much weight in such a short time, I've even allowed myself eating pastries, bagels (which are delicious here in Montreal) and eat more bread than before. I know this isn't going to help me lose weight, but I feel like resistance is futile.

If you've been holding back and want to gain, then why not. I wish I'd allow myself to eat anything I want, but I'm not there... yet.
